

Biography
From Brazil to the world
Danielle Garcia Silva, who has dual citizenship (Spanish and Brazilian), graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2017, where she attended on scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, under the direction of Tauna Hunter, and a minor in Psychology. She was a student in the Honors Program and a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society and Psi Chi Honors Society.
Professionally, she is currently dancing with Costa Cruise Line. She also performed for two seasons with Pullmantur Cruise Lines, one season with Ballet Theatre of Maryland and two seasons with Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre. For one season she danced with the Mercyhurst Dance Team and she appeared with Ballet Concerto in Fort Worth, TX, and with Lake Erie Ballet in Erie, PA.
She began her dance training at the Escola de Bailado Municipal de Santos and then she joined the Balé Jovem de São Vicente where she performed as a soloist and a group member in both national and international competitions, such as Tanzolymp (Germany), Youth America Grand Prix (United States), and Festival de Joinville (Brazil).
Danielle has training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and modern and has been part of several cruise line dance shows such as ABBA, Forever Beatles, Movida en Los 80, Diario de Un Amor, Destino El Mundo, L’aunie - The Colors Origin, Grease, as well as excerpts from A Chorus Line and All That Jazz.
She has also participated in American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet School and Ballet Theatre of Maryland summer intensives and performed in ballets including Coppelia, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, La Fille Mal Gardée, Grand Pas Classique, The Nutcracker, Pas de Quatre, Les Sylphides, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco.
Danielle has taught ballet and contemporary ballet for all levels and ages. She has taught private lessons as well as taught for the Ballet Theatre of Maryland School, Ballet For Women, New Heights Dance Academy, Montgomery Recreation Center, Mercyhurst University, Ballerine Home Dance Company, and Tatiana Carvalho Dance Studio.
